Entrepreneurship for Teens and Young Adults is a training program developed by an entrepreneur, for entrepreneurs, designed to provide the option of self-employment as a viable, exciting and accessible career path!

Whether you already have a business idea, or are you’re just wanting to learn about being self-employed, join one of our virtual sessions where you’ll be introduced to small business concepts, in engaging, participatory live Zoom sessions, with supportive, respectful guidance and facilitation.

Examples of what we will learn about together:

  • The basic concepts of entrepreneurism, pros and cons, and the value of being your own boss!

  • Exploring your passions and interests and brainstorming them into business ideas

  • What are elevator pitches, pitch presentations, mentorship, seed funds?

  • Developing essential skills like creative thinking, problem solving, self-confidence, effective communication and more

  • How to develop a business plan, SWOT analysis, BMC and other valuable tools for small business owners

  • Financial literacy topics ranging from checking and savings accounts, budget planning, spending habits, credit scores, how to detect scams, and more

  • Value proposition, customer segments, minimum viable product, and business entity formation

  • How to use small business resources and networking skills like the SBA, SBDC, SCORE, and more

  • To register, please complete the registration form above. Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide their parent/caregiver’s authorization and information as indicated.

    Payment method must be selected at the time of registration.

    Registration will not be complete until payment is fully processed.

    You will be notified via email when your registration is confirmed.

  • $400, all materials provided

    Tuition is due in full upon registration.

    Payment options are as follows:

    1) Venmo: Venmo username must be provided upon registration and request for payment will be sent by us.

    2) Cash App: CashTag must be provided upon registration and a request for payment will be sent by us.

    2) Personal check, bank check or money order: made payable to LaPorte Consulting, LLC and mailed to 74 Goodell Street, Belchertown, MA 01007. Check number must be provided and a receipt will sent by us.

  • To provide a fully-accessible, covid-safe experience for all our participants, this program will take place virtually via Zoom.

    Participants will need internet service, as well as a computer with a working camera and microphone.

  • Entrepreneurship for Teens and Young Adults is designed for people ages 16-24 years old. Participants under the age of 18 will need to provide their parent/caregiver’s authorization and information as required.

    Registration is limited to 10 students for each cohort. There is no minimum enrollment.

  • Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made in writing to brenda@laporteconsulting.net and must be received by one week prior to first day of program.

    Requests for refunds made by the deadline will be issued with a 10% deduction for processing fees.

  • This is the perfect place for you! Come explore the idea of being self-employed, whether it’s a new concept to you, or if you already have a plan for a small business. Together, we’ll learn, grow and support each other no matter where we are on our journey! All are welcome.
